Bariloche: un muerto y un herido tras una avalancha en el Cerro Catedral
Dos patrulleros debieron ser rescatados y uno murió tras una avalancha ocurrida esta mañana de lunes en el cerro Catedral a las afueras de Bariloche.
Según las primeras informaciones, el fallecido es un jefe de patrullas que fue cubierto por la nieve y sufrió politraumatismos y un paro cardiorespiratorio. Cuando lo sacaron de la nieve, tuvieron reanimarlo, pero más tarde murió.
El otro herido tuvo menores consecuencias al quedar en la parte superior del manto de nieve.
Por el momento, el centro de esquí permanecerá cerrado hasta nuevo aviso.
Catedral Alta Patagonia informó que «en el día de la fecha, debido a la acumulación de la nieve precipitada en los últimos días en la montaña, se produjo una avalancha en el sector norte de Catedral».
«El equipo de patrulleros, altamente capacitado, se encontraba realizando el Plan de Intervención de Desencadenamiento de Avalanchas, y como consecuencia del procedimiento dos personas del equipo de Catedral fueron rescatadas. Por el momento, el centro de esquí permanecerá cerrado hasta nuevo aviso».
La empresa concesionaria había anunciado que realizará detonaciones para evitar, justamente, que la gran cantidad de nieve acumulada se desmoronara.
En tanto, el intendente Gustavo Gennuso confirmó la noticia en una conferencia de prensa junto a la gobernadora Arabela Carreras, aunque en ese momento aún no había muerto el patrullero.
«No es en la zona de las voladuras, sino más abajo, esa avalancha terminó con el jefe de patrulla sepultado bajo la nieve», señaló.
Por su parte, el EAMCEC dijo que mientras dure el cierre preventivo está prohibido el ingreso al mismo, ya que «el protocolo establecido para esta etapa determina que las condiciones deben garantizar el cumplimiento, tanto de seguridad como de funcionamiento».
