Alberto Fernández: «Siento que muchos no me escucharon»
El Presidente defendió el confinamiento para bajar la tasa de contagios de coronavirus en todo el país.
El mandatario aseguró que las restricciones estrictas durarán solo nueve días y sentenció que en este contexto no puede haber aumento de tarifas.
«Son nueve días. Este golpe en la experiencia europea lo llaman ‘el martillazo’, que lo que hace es permitirte barajar y dar de nuevo. Te permite ganar tiempo, bajar el numero de contagios, y ganar tiempo en la administración de la salud y la atención de los contagios», aseguró el presidente Alberto Fernández respecto al confinamiento estricto que empezó a regir este sábado.
En su primera aparición pública desde que anunció las nuevas restricciones, el presidente se refirió a la situación sanitaria, a las diferencias con el gobierno porteño, al aumento en los precios de la carne y a las negociaciones con el Fondo Monetario Internacional. «Con este nivel inflacionario no puedo exigirle a la gente que pague un nuevo aumento tarifario», afirmó y adelantó que, de ser necesario, el gobierno analizaría implementar nuevas ayudas económicas como el IFE.
«Siento que muchos no me escucharon. Hice un llamado a la reflexión en marzo, advertí que se nos iba a venir lo que sucedía en Europa con la segunda ola. Dicté medidas para el AMBA, avisé que se iba a extender por todo el país, no me hicieron caso y se terminó extendiendo por todo el país», declaró Alberto Fernández respecto al crítico contexto sanitario al comienzo de una entrevista con Ernesto Tenembaum y María O’Donnell para la CNN.
El presidente cuestionó la decisión del jefe de gobierno porteño, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, de desoír los anteriores DNU presidenciales – «no solo no me acompañaron, sino que hicieron gala de hacer lo contrario» – y apuntó contra la especulación política de algunos sectores de Juntos por el Cambio con la pandemia: «Quisiera que la oposición entendiera la crisis en la que estamos y que no se puede hacer política con eso, porque se están muriendo muchas personas. Hay momento en los que tenemos que estar unidos para trabajar juntos».
En otro momento de la entrevista, Fernández se refirió también a la decisión de suspender la exportación de carne por 30 días y se mostró confiado en que el gobierno llegaría a un acuerdo con la Mesa de Enlace: «Vamos a conversar y encontrar un acuerdo que respete a los argentinos porque antes no lo estaban haciendo».
En esta misma línea, el presidente negó que existiese la posibilidad de un nuevo aumento tarifario, buscando dar por cerrada la interna que se había producido entre el ministro de Economía, Martín Guzmán, y el subsecretario de Energía Eléctrica, Federico Basualdo: «Nosotros no previmos que iba a haber esta escalada inflacionaria, lo que nos hizo repensar el tema. Con este nivel inflacionario no puedo exigirle a la gente que pague un nuevo aumento tarifario. Es un tema terminado», aseguró.
Por último, el presidente se refirió a las negociaciones con el FMI para aplazar los pagos de la deuda que firmó el gobierno macrista – «Por lo que hablé con Kristalina no estamos lejos de lograrlo» – y aseguró que los Derechos Especiales de Giro que el organismo tiene planeado enviarle al país no estarán destinados al pago de vencimientos de deuda, pero sólo si se llegaba antes a un acuerdo con el Fondo.
«Si yo tengo un acuerdo con el Fondo no tengo que pagarle en lo inmediato, por lo tanto las DEGs pueden ser utilizadas para lo que la Argentina necesite. Pero si no hay acuerdo con el Fondo ahí tendré que ver, porque si no le pago caeríamos en default y yo no quiero caer en default», indicó.
