El ministro de Seguridad confirmó la compra de un centenar de pistolas Taser para que sean utilizadas por «grupos de élite» de las fuerzas de seguridad, previo entrenamiento. Precisó que se trata de un proceso iniciado en octubre pasado.
El ministro de Seguridad, Aníbal Fernández, confirmó hoy la compra de un centenar de pistolas Taser para que sean utilizadas por «grupos de élite» de las fuerzas de seguridad, previo entrenamiento. Precisó que se trata de un proceso iniciado en octubre pasado.
«Nosotros ya compramos las pistolas Taser en octubre. Esto nos permite que los grupos de élite empiecen a entrenar. Todavía no sabemos cuándo; no las tenemos todavía. Hay que terminar el proceso pero no estamos muy lejos», afirmó en declaraciones formuladas esta mañana a Radio 10.
En ese marco, Aníbal Fernández sostuvo que «seguramente» el Gobierno porteño también podrá utilizarlas.
La compra de las pistolas Taser
Ayer se conoció que el Gobierno nacional compró cien pistolas Taser que serán destinadas a grupos especiales de las fuerzas federales del país, en el marco de un proceso que se inició el año pasado.
La compra se materializó por contratación directa con una empresa que tomó en parte de pago un lote de ese tipo de armas electrónicas que había sido adquirido en el 2019 por la entonces ministra Patricia Bullrich y que había quedado en desuso por tratarse de pistolas de un solo cartucho, que no cuentan con emisión de advertencia ni cámaras incorporadas.
Desde la cartera de Seguridad remarcaron que esta compra, iniciada el año pasado, no está vinculada al reciente homicidio de la agente de la Policía de la Ciudad Maribel Zalazar, madre de dos hijos y baleada en la estación Retiro del subte C el 14 de febrero último.
Quiénes usarán las pistolas Taser
Estas pistolas serán destinadas a los grupos especializados de cada fuerza federal, como el Albatros de Prefectura, el Alacrán de Gendarmería, los Grupos Tácticos de la Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria, las Unidades tácticas de Intervención Federal y el GEOF de la Policía Federal Argentina.
Para el uso de estas armas, los agentes deben cumplir con el «protocolo de Actuación para la utilización de Dispositivos Electrónicos de Inmovilización Momentánea (D.E.I.M.) de baja letalidad», vigente desde la gestión de la antecesora de Aníbal Fernández, Sabina Frederic.
