Casas a la venta por 1 euro en un pueblo «libre de coronavirus»
El objetivo de las autoridades locales es revertir la despoblación que se viene registrando hace tiempo, sobre todo por la emigración de jóvenes y otras personas en busca de un futuro mejor.
En ese contexto, el alcalde Michele Conia lanzó la «Operación Belleza» para atraer a eventuales residentes.
«Encontrar nuevos propietarios para las muchas casas abandonadas que tenemos es una parte clave», explicó el jefe comunal tras añadir que comenzaron obras para recuperar partes degradadas del pueblo.
«Crecí en Alemania, donde mis padres habían emigrado, luego regresé para salvar mi tierra. Demasiadas personas volaron de acá durante décadas, dejando casas vacías. No podemos sucumbir a la resignación», sostuvo Conia en declaraciones a CNN.
Es que, a pesar de que la comunidad esté rodeada por una belleza natural destacada, la zona urbana presenta gran cantidad de viviendas en mal estado.
«Nos elevamos entre las refrescantes colinas y dos mares cálidos, un río virgen corre cerca y las playas están a solo 15 minutos en auto. Pero todo un distrito de mi ciudad yace abandonado, con casas vacías que también son inestables y riesgosas», señaló el alcalde.
Esta comunidad italiana no reportó casos de coronavirus entre sus ciudadanos y está dentro de la zona que tuvo los niveles más bajos de contagios en el país.
Las casas de unos 50 metros cuadrados con balcón se venden al precio simbólico de un euro.
Pero las autoridades locales exigen además una «tarifa de seguro de póliza anual» de unos 250 euros hasta que las obras estén finalizadas.
Los propietarios estarán sujetos a una multa de 20.000 euros si no completan sus refacciones en tres años.
«Solo estamos pidiendo algún tipo de certeza una vez que un nuevo comprador se compromete con el proyecto. La tarifa de póliza es muy baja y el costo de un rediseño aquí es de 10.000 a 20.000 euros, dado que las viviendas son acogedoras y pequeñas», explicó Coni.
Las viviendas a la venta se encuentran en la parte histórica de Cinquefrondi.
