El pontífice afirmó: «en la locura de la guerra se vuelve a crucificar a Cristo».

El papa Francisco pidió este domingo en misa a una «tregua de Pascua» para iniciar verdaderas negociaciones entre Ucrania y Rusia.

«Cuando se usa la violencia, ya no se sabe nada de Dios, que es Padre, ni tampoco de los demás, que son hermanos», afirmó el Papa durante la ceremonia que encabezó en la Plaza San Pedro y que marca el inicio de las celebraciones vaticanas para la Pascua.

Y añadió: «Se nos olvida por qué estamos en el mundo y llegamos a cometer crueldades absurdas. Lo vemos en la locura de la guerra, donde se vuelve a crucificar a Cristo».

Al celebrar en el Vaticano la misa del Domingo de Ramos, el papa pidió «una verdadera negociación».»No para recargar las armas y retomar los combates, para llegar a la paz a través de una verdadera negociación. ¿Qué victoria será la que plante una bandera sobre una montaña de escombros?», exhortó Francisco.
