Comenzó la obra que permitirá que el tren de pasajeros vuelva a la capital tucumana
Durante los últimos días de septiembre, Trenes Argentinos Infraestructura (ADIF) dio inicio a la obra de rehabilitación del puente del Ferrocarril Mitre sobre el río Salí, que había sido licitada en febrero pasado.
Estos trabajos permitirán que los trenes de pasajeros de larga distancia vuelvan a llegar a la estación Tucumán Mitre, en el centro de la capital provincial. Desde fines de 2019 el servicio funciona limitado hasta Cevil Pozo, en las afueras de San Miguel de Tucumán, debido a que una crecida del río afectó la estabilidad del puente ferroviario.
Según informó el sitio enelSubte, los trabajos están a cargo de la constructora Panedile, que fue proclamada como adjudicataria de la obra en julio pasado y las tareas iniciadas corresponden a los trabajos preliminares para el inicio de la obra, lo que comprende la preparación del terreno y la realización de relevamientos y estudios para determinar las intervenciones a realizar.
El proyecto licitado abarca la reparación integral del puente -de 560 metros de longitud y 28 tramos-, sus bases, la renovación de las vías, y la colocación de refuerzos metálicos, protecciones y apoyos, entre otras intervenciones. En el marco de los relevamientos preliminares se determinó que cinco de los pilotes del puente, ubicados directamente sobre el lecho del río, presentan deterioro debido a la erosión.
El proyecto será íntegramente ejecutado por ADIF, a pesar de que la gestión del ramal no ha revertido al Estado hasta el momento y continuará siendo administrado como concesión integral por Nuevo Central Argentino (NCA) hasta el vencimiento de su contrato, lo que -de cumplirse los plazos previstos- ocurrirá a fines de este año.
Una vez finalizada la obra, los trenes de pasajeros Buenos Aires – Tucumán volverán a llegar a la estación Tucumán Mitre, atendiendo uno de los reclamos más frecuentes de los usuarios del servicio. La estación Cevil Pozo no es apta como terminal de un tren de larga distancia: no solo está emplazada en las afueras de Tucumán sino que carece de todo tipo de comodidades para pasajeros.
El tren Buenos Aires – Tucumán, cabe recordar, demora 31 horas en unir ambas cabeceras. Si bien el servicio mejoró recientemente su desempeño en el tramo Buenos Aires – Rosario -cuya administración pasó de NCA al Estado en mayo pasado– el tiempo ganado se pierde en los tramos aún bajo concesión privada, donde los tiempos de viaje han ido al alza.
