La Corte Suprema falló a favor de la vicepresidenta.
La Corte de la Suprema de la Nación falló a favor de la vicepresidenta en su causa contra Google. La demanda comenzó luego que en agosto del 2019 apareciera en el llamado «panel de conocimiento«, el cuadrado destacado del buscador donde aparecen los datos de las personalidades públicas, una leyenda que la calificaba como «ladrona de la Nación Argentina».
El abogado en representación de la política pidió el detalle de cómo se generan estas publicaciones, además del tiempo que la leyenda estuvo activa, la cantidad de visualizaciones y las acciones que tomó la empresa en relación a esta.
La Sala II de la Cámara en lo Civil y Comercial le dio la razón a la ex presidenta y cuando la empresa apeló en la Corte Suprema, el rechazo del planteo fue unánime.
El máximo tribunal consideró que el recurso extraordinario de Google «no se dirige contra una sentencia definitiva o equiparable a tal», por lo cual se desestimó el planteo. El breve documento lleva la firma de los magistrados Carlos Rosenkrantz, Juan Carlos Maqueda, Horacio Rosatti, Ricardo Lorenzetti y Elena Highton de Nolasco.
