Denunció que el teatro Mercedes Sosa le negó la entrada a un discapacitado
Verónica quiere ir con su primo Franco al recital que Alejandro Lerner dará en el Teatro Mercedes Sosa, pero en el auditorio le negaron la entrada que le corresponde por ley a las personas con discapacidad: “Es una vergüenza”.
Verónica Palomo pasó de la ilusión de asistir al show de uno de sus artistas favoritos a la bronca y la indignación ante la negativa del Teatro Mercedes Sosa de una entrada para su primo Franco Pereyra quien padece una discapacidad. Si bien la legislación provincial establece la obligación del auditorio de brindarle acceso a personas con discapacidad, desde el auditorio se resisten a cumplir con la ley. “Yo voy a seguir haciendo el reclamo para que se siente un precedente porque sus derechos han sido vulnerados”, advirtió Verónica.
Desde muy chica Verónica es fanática del músico Alejandro Lerner, por eso, cuando se enteró que el músico brindará un show en Tucumán el próximo 10 de junio, se sintió muy feliz. La alegría fue aún mayor cuando su primo Franco le pidió acompañarla al espectáculo. El joven de 28 años no participa de ningún evento artístico desde el comienzo de la pandemia y, en ambos, la posibilidad de asistir al recital era motivo de ilusión. Verónica vería a su ídolo y Franco volvería a asistir a un espectáculo después de largo tiempo. “Franco es una persona con una discapacidad intelectual moderada y motora. Él se moviliza en sillas de ruedas y siempre vamos a los eventos que a él le gustan. Como soy fanática de Lerner, él me pidió ir. Cuando voy al teatro pregunto por la ley de discapacidad, en este caso sólo pedía la entrada de él, ya que me pagaba la mía. Generalmente, en los espectáculos sólo nos piden el certificado de discapacidad para poder ingresar, pero en el Mercedes Sosa me dijeron que tenía que ir a la Dirección de Discapacidad. Cuando fui, ahí me dijeron que en ese teatro desde el comienzo de la pandemia no estaban cumpliendo con el cupo de entradas a personas discapacitadas por una cuestión de aforo”.
La ley provincial a la que hace mención Verónica es la 8646 que en su primer artículo establece: “Las personas con discapacidad, tendrán acceso gratuito a todos los espectáculos públicos que realicen, auspicien o intervenga de alguna manera el Gobierno de la Provincia, sus organismos Descentralizados o Autárquicos, los entes públicos no estatales, las Empresas del Estado local y las empresas privadas contratistas o concesionarias”. Sin embargo, tras la negativa del Teatro Mercedes Sosa, la mujer de 43 años inició un periplo que la llevó, primero, a la Dirección de Discapacidad, después, a la Defensoría del Pueblo y, de ahí, al Ente Cultural de la provincia y, una vez más, a la boletería del teatro. La nota formal con el reclamo fue de un lado para otro, pero el resultado seguía siendo la misma negativa que recibió en un principio.
“He sentido indignación total porque son derechos ganados y creo que el Estado tiene que prever que estos sean cumplidos”, remarca la mujer que, cansada de la peregrinación burocrática que incluyó la negativa del Ente Cultural de recibirle la nota, se resignó a abonar ambas entradas: “Pagué 9300 pesos por las dos entradas, no me sobra la plata, de hecho, ahora estoy sin trabajo, pero tengo para pagarla…El punto no es ese, sino que es su derecho que está siendo vulnerado”. Cuando fue hoy al teatro, recibió un nuevo destrato a la hora de adquirir los tickets: “Quería sacarle la entrada en el pasillo por una cuestión de comodidad por su silla y porque desde ahí se ve mejor, pero me dijeron que, por motivos de seguridad, nadie se puede sentar ahí. Sin embargo, vi fotos que en el show de La oreja de Van Gogh hace poco había mucha gente sentada ahí en el pasillo”.
Ante la situación que le tocó vivir, Verónica utilizó sus redes sociales para hacer un descargo. Ahí recién recibió una respuesta de parte del Teatro Mercedes Sosa: “Me pidieron disculpas recién hoy porque hice un escrache en las redes. Cuando los etiqueté recién me respondieron… me mandaron hace un rato un mensaje que dice que es un evento privado y que ellos no manejan el cumplimiento del cupo… que no se hacen cargo del tema. Creo que las leyes se deben cumplir, sea privado o público el evento, se trata un derecho ganado”.
“Nuca tuvimos inconvenientes para hacer cumplir la ley, él nunca se pagó la entrada, es la primera vez que pasa. Él tiene 28 años, pero la cabeza de alguien de 12… Es un niño; una persona muy inocente. Uno no le niega nada de lo que él pide y esta es su primera salida a un evento desde que comenzó la pandemia que para él fue muy dura. Si no tenía la plata para pagar la entrada era una desilusión para él y la verdad que esta situación te da bronca, mucha bronca”, confiesa Verónica y la indignación se le cuela en la voz, por eso advierte: “Yo voy a seguir con este reclamo, pero sólo espero que nos traten bien cuando vayamos. Es una vergüenza que el teatro sea lo que es y que pasen estas cosas”.
