El Senado le dio dictamen al plan para convertir en ley el programa Conectar Igualdad
Las comisiones de Legislación General y de Educación y Cultura le dieron vía libre al proyecto para fijar el programa que promueve el acceso de los jóvenes a la tecnología como política de Estado.
Un proyecto que propone transformar en ley el programa Conectar Igualdad, que distribuye computadoras a estudiantes secundarios de todo el país y promueve el acceso de los jóvenes a las nuevas tecnologías, recibió hoy dictamen favorable en un plenario de comisiones del Senado.
En un encuentro de las comisiones de Legislación General y Educación y Cultura, presidido por los senadores Daniel Bensusán (Frente de Todos-La Pampa) y Cristina López Valverde (FdT-San Juan), se acordó fijar el plan como una política de Estado que permanezca en el tiempo más allá de los gobiernos.
El programa, creado en el 2010 en el ámbito del Ministerio de Educación de la Nación, distribuye computadoras, en modalidad uno a uno, a todos los estudiantes de secundaria y educación especial de las escuelas públicas y propone garantizar el acceso a las nuevas tecnologías.
«Creemos en la necesidad de que este programa sea una política de Estado, más allá de los gobiernos de turno, y se mantenga en el tiempo con el fin de achicar la brecha digital, tecnológica y social de nuestro país», expresó Bensusán.
En una primera etapa, el programa está dirigido a estudiantes de segundo año de la escuela secundaria urbana, de primero a tercero de las escuelas secundarias rurales y a la totalidad de la matrícula de las escuelas Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (EIB).
En una segunda etapa, se continuará con el ciclo básico de todas las escuelas secundarias de gestión estatal, se indicó oficialmente.
En un encuentro el 7 de septiembre último en San Martín, el presidente Alberto Fernández hizo una fuerte defensa de la educación pública y del programa Conectar Igualdad, iniciado en 2010 durante el Gobierno de Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
«Que un chico, una chica, un chique no pueda estudiar porque no cuenta con una computadora, es postergarlo; Cristina advirtió esa carencia», aseguró el jefe de Estado.
El texto consensuado recibió dictamen favorable en comisión y quedó en condiciones de ser debatido en el recinto en 7 días, para luego ser girado a la Cámara de Diputados.
