Excombatientes de Malvinas intentaron bajar la bandera arcoíris del Parque Sarmiento

Un día después de que la Municipalidad de Córdoba colocara el estandarte, dos veteranos de guerra trataron de arriar la enseña. Tuvo que intervenir la Policía. 

Por el Día Internacional del Orgullo LGBT, la Municipalidad de Córdoba colocó este viernes una bandera arcoíris en el mástil mayor del Parque Sarmiento, con la intención de dejarla en ese lugar de manera permanente. 

Este sábado por la tarde, dos excombatientes de la guerra de Malvinas acudieron al lugar y arriaron el estandarte: Alejandro López, exsoldado; y Daniel Villena, suboficial mayor de la Fuerza Aérea.

López explicó los motivos de su accionar: «Nosotros, como veteranos de guerra, como ciudadanos y como argentinos, tenemos que respetar nuestra enseña patria. No consideramos que se tenga que sacar nuestra bandera para poner otra. Me parece algo nefasto lo que hizo el intendente. Si el es hincha de Talleres, entonces la semana que viene, ¿va a poner una bandera de Talleres? Esto es una falta de respeto grave a nuestros caídos y a nuestra representación como argentinos». 

En uno de los videos, se observa que mientras los excombatientes arriaban la bandera, algunas personas se agruparon alrededor del mástil y se quejaron al respecto, hasta que intervinieron oficiales de la Policía. Tras los incidentes, los excombatientes se dirigieron a la Unidad Judicial N° 4, en el mismo Parque Sarmiento.

López expresó al respecto: «No aceptamos que esté esta bandera. No es intolerancia, es sentimiento patriótico. No es un capricho ni una locura. La sociedad está con nosotros. Somos veteranos que nos sentimos agraviados por esta situación. No estamos discriminando a ningún sector: solamente respetamos la bandera Argentina. Fuimos a sacar la otra bandera, una bandera que no nos representa, nada más. Nosotros defendimos a la Patria, y muchos hombres murieron por defenderla. Que se quiera imponer esto, es absolutamente humillante: como argentinos, como patriotas y como veteranos de guerra».

Luego de que los excombatientes se retiraran, los transeúntes izaron otra vez la bandera arcoiris, que continúa en el lugar.

La Municipalidad de Córdoba emitió un comunicado al respecto: «Mañana es el Día Internacional del Orgullo LGBTIQ+. La bandera de la diversidad flamea en el centro del Parque Sarmiento. Es nuestro firme compromiso de construir una sociedad cada día más inclusiva, igualitaria y respetuosa. Funcionarios municipales conversaron en la tarde de hoy con un grupo de Veteranos de Guerra que se presentaron en el lugar expresando su rechazo a la presencia de bandera de la diversidad en el mástil del parque Sarmiento».

Algunas autoridades y organizaciones que defienden los derechos de las minorías repudiaron el accionar de los veteranos de guerra. El director de Derechos Humanos de las Minorías y Lucha Contra la Discriminación del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de la provincia de Córdoba, Alejandro Escudero Salama, dijo: «Hechos como los sucedidos nos traen a la memoria años de persecución, patologización, estigmatización y múltiples violencias naturalizadas». Y puntualizó que desde esa cartera repudian «los ataques de aquellos que fomentan prácticas que buscan internalizar el odio hacia la diversidad».  

De todos modos, la bandera colocada por la Municipalidad de Córdoba no es el estandarte actual del movimiento LGBT, nacida en California y que consta de seis franjas horizontales, sino la bandera de Cuzco, Perú, formada por siete bandas horizontales de siete colores a imitación del arco iris.

La polémica por la colocación de la insignia arcoíris en el Parque Sarmiento parece estar lejos de resolverse.
