Fernández y Cafiero celebraron que los rescatistas argentinos salvaron a 3 personas en Turquía
A más de 200 horas del devastador terremoto, y con cada vez menos chances de hallar personas con vida entre los escombros, la labor de las misiones humanitarias continúa dando con sobrevivientes.
Las brigadas que forman parte de la misión humanitaria enviada a fines de la semana pasada desde nuestro país con destino a Turquía rescataron en las últimas horas a tres personas de entre los escombros, a más de 200 horas del terremoto que devastó el sudoeste turco y el norte de Siria.
Cada rescate por estas horas es celebrado con gran entusiasmo debido a que, por el tiempo pasado desde la catástrofe natural, cada vez será más difícil hallar sobrevivientes a los derrumbes.
Es en este marco que el canciller, Santiago Cafiero, y el presidente de la Nación, Alberto Fernández, reconocieron y celebraron el logro del equipo de voluntarios argentinos.
“La misión argentina de asistencia humanitaria logró rescatar a tres personas con vida en Hatay, la ciudad turca más devastada por el terremoto”, informó el titular de la cartera de Relaciones Internacionales, y agregó: “Nos emociona poder compartir esta noticia, a nueve días de uno de los desastres más grandes de la historia de la región”.
Cafiero remarcó que “el profesionalismo de nuestro equipo conformado por Cascos Blancos y la Brigada USAR de la Policía Federal Argentina, junto con las y los miembros de la Autoridad del Manejo de Desastres y Emergencias del Ministerio del Interior de Turquía ha permitido, en medio de esta tragedia, abrazarnos a la vida, la solidaridad y la esperanza”.
Alberto Fernández, por su parte, retomó la publicación del canciller en las redes sociales y valoró que “la solidaridad es un valor de los argentinos, entre nosotros y con quienes más lo necesitan en otras regiones”, y expresó “todo nuestro respeto, agradecimiento y admiración a quienes cruzan el mundo para salvar vidas”.
Según la última actualización oficial, informada hace 48 horas, el número de víctimas mortales a raíz del violento fenómeno natural ascendía a 35.225 personas. No obstante, desde las Naciones Unidas calculan que las cifras reales podrían duplicar lo informado.

En medio de la conmoción post catástrofe que se vive en Medio Oriente, y mientras continúan las tareas de rescate de sobrevivientes entre los escombros de las arrasadas regiones de Turquía y Siria, la embajada turca en nuestro país actualizó la lista de “necesidades urgentes” para afrontar los próximos meses.
Lo hizo a través de un breve comunicado, que también fue publicado en sus redes sociales, donde iniciaron expresando: “Muchas gracias por las donaciones que hemos recibido hasta ahora en nuestra Embajada”.
A continuación, añadieron que “debido a las duras condiciones invernales en las zonas afectadas por el terremoto, nuestra lista de necesidades más urgentes ha sido actualizada”, y precisaron los elementos más demandados: “Carpas, bolsas de dormir, mantas, baños y duchas móviles, estufas catalíticas, casas contenedor”.
Recordemos que, tras los devastadores sismos registrados el lunes pasado, con picos de magnitud de 7.8 y 7.5, y decenas de réplicas de diversa intensidad, inmediatamente iniciaron no sólo las tareas de rescate sino también la puesta en marcha de áreas de refugio para quienes perdieron sus casas o sus domicilios no son seguros.
