Todos los días se levanta a las 6, va a su esquina con su silla y su carrito, primero barre toda la vereda y después arranca a encarar los coches que pasan.
“Es admirable lo que hace, labura más que yo”, comentó el kioskero de la cuadra.
Está claro que en su juventud, teniendo dos títulos y una carrera por delante, Margarita nunca hubiese imaginado terminar haciendo este trabajo.
Entonces, ¿qué salió mal?. “Tuve un narcisismo muy pequeño, siempre me costó hacerme valer y esa fue mi gran derrota. Por eso yo fracasé en mi vida, en todos los aspectos”, sentenció.
Cuando cambia la luz del semáforo, sale disparada hacia la calle con sus elementos en las manos, pregunta amablemente si puede limpiar, sin salpicar una sola gota hasta que no tiene el permiso del conductor. Es un trabajo a contra reloj, tiene tanditas de cuarenta segundos para ganarse la vida. Del rojo al verde no hay mucho tiempo para soñar.
Si bien no es lo que imaginaba para su vida, con el optimismo como filosofía de vida, acepta su trabajo y ve el intercambio con sus clientes de una manera muy particular.
“Cuando uno se desprende de algo, en este caso el dinero, es un gesto de amor. Yo veo este trabajo como un síntoma de ese amor que no pude obtener de otra manera en la vida”, expresó.
A Margarita no le quedaron familiares ni amigos, está sola.
Cumpleaños, fiestas, momentos alegres o difíciles, siempre sola.
La sensación de no sentirse querida es lo que más le pesa, lo que más le duele.
Sin embargo, como buena sobreviviente, nunca se rindió y no lo va a hacer ahora. Sigue pensando en positivo y mirando para adelante.
“Tengo 71 años y todavía creo que puedo cumplir algún sueño en la vida, quizás tener una negocio propio, ¿por qué no?”, relató emocionada.
Esta luchadora de la vida no culpa a nadie por la situación que está viviendo, se hace cargo de sus errores y de su mala suerte, pero le quedó grabada una frase que le dijeron.
“Una vez una persona me conmovió totalmente, me dijo ´te pido perdón por las puertas que la sociedad no te abrió´, fue impactante para mí. Pero yo no supe abrirme camino, no culpo a otro”, sostuvo. /TN
