La vacuna fabricada en Argentina pasó las primeras pruebas de calidad
Fuentes del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación informaron que la vacuna contra el COVID-19 Sputnik Vida, un proyecto argentino en conjunto entre el Fondo Soberano Ruso y Laboratorios Richmond, pasó con éxito los primeros controles de calidad.
La estimación oficial es que si los desarrollos continúan a este ritmo, en las próximas semanas podrá comenzar la producción a gran escala en la planta de la localidad de Garín, al Norte del Gran Buenos Aires.
Los estudios preliminares fueron realizados en Moscú sobre 21.176 dosis enviadas. Según agregaron fuentes de la cartera que conduce Carla Vizzotti, en una primera instancia la Sputnik Vida tendrá el componente activo importado desde Rusia, aunque el objetivo es que desde diciembre sea fabricado también en Argentina, por lo que todo el proceso de la vacuna se concretaría en el país.
Se trata de un paso más en un largo proceso de validación de los principios activos fabricados en nuestro país con la supervisión del Instituto Gamaleya. El pasado 20 de abril a través de un video oficial publicado en Twitter se anunció que Argentina es el primer país de América Latina en fabricar la vacuna rusa.
“Estamos muy entusiasmados con la posibilidad producir la Sputnik V en Argentina, vacuna con la cual ya estamos protegiendo a gran parte de nuestra población con excelentes resultados», afirmó en su momento el presidente de la Nación, Alberto Fernández.
Parte de la alianza entre el Fondo Ruso y Laboratorios Richmond establece la instalación de una planta en la localidad bonaerense de Pilar, en el plazo de un año, para alcanzar allí la producción de las dosis contra el coronavirus
