El delantero argentino, golpeado por lo goleada ante Bayern Munich, se plantea seriamente abandonar la institución catalana.

“El ciclo Barcelona terminó”. Esta frase fue la más utilizada en la mayoría de los medios para graficar la goleada y eliminación en cuartos de final sufrida por los catalanes a manos del Bayern Munich tras caer por 8 a 2. Este resultado generó un gran cimbronazo dentro de la institución azulgrana.

Según el periodista Juanma Castaño, en el programa El Partidazo, de Cadena Cope, Lionel Messi, capitán y emblema del club, se “hartó” de esta situación y le envió un ultimátum a la dirigencia. Si no cumplen con sus exigencias seguirá su carrera en otro equipo.

El ’10′ se cansó de ser el único “salvador” y de sentirse solo en los partidos importantes. Este partido terminó de acelerar una idea que venía rondando desde hace un tiempo en la cabeza del rosarino y le acercó a la dirigencia tres exigencias para continuar su carrera ligada al club azulgrana. Vale recordar que el vínculo de Messi finaliza en junio de 2021 y hay varios equipos agazapados, aguardando un guiño para hacer una oferta.

Lionel Messi cree que Quique Setién no está capacitado para levantar al equipo en este delicado momento y solicita la contratación de un director técnico de categoría.

Esta petición es casi un hecho que se cumplirá a la brevedad, ya que la dirigencia parece haberle soltado la mano al entrenador luego de la histórica goleada ante los alemanes. Catalunya Radio, informan que el principal candidato a asumir este puesto es el argentino Mauricio Pochettino, pese a estar identificado con Espanyol, el clásico rival de los azulgranas. Según este medio, el presidente Josep María Bartomeu ya se habría contactado con el ex Tottenham.

Renovación dirigencial:

La relación entre Lionel Messi y los mandatarios no es la mejor desde hace un tiempo y el ’10′ quiere cambios importantes, tanto en la parte alta de la cúpula dirigencial como en los encargados de tomar las medidas en el plano deportivo (Ramón Planes, Eric Abidal y Oscar Grau). Considera que no hay un proyecto acorde a la envergadura del Barcelona y que la política de refuerzos implementada en los últimos mercados de pases no fue la adecuada.

Al parecer, el presidente habría tomado nota de este pedido y podría llamar a elecciones anticipadas (se especula que podrían ser en marzo). “Vamos a tomar decisiones, algunas de ellas ya estaban tomadas antes de la Champions, otras las tomaremos ahora, y todas ellas las anunciaremos en las próximas semanas”, advirtió el mandatario tras la eliminación.

El Manchester City se presenta siempre como una opción y lo es aún más desde que Josep Guardiola es el entrenador. La voluntad de volver a juntar al goleador y al DT que conformaron una exitosa dupla en el elenco catalán es siempre un sueño entre los directivos del club Ciudadano.

Pero hace algunas semanas se sumó el interés de un equipo impensado: el Newcastle. Según publicó el periodista Ben Jacobs, el grupo saudí que está a punto de comprar al club inglés por 380 millones de euros desea armar un superequipo. “Entrevisté a un directivo senior, quien señaló: ‘Los mejores jugadores de La Liga serán comprados, liderados por Lionel Messi”, escribió en su cuenta de Twitter. La misma información fue replicada días atrás por el diario Daily Express de Gran Bretaña.

Del otro lado del océano Atlántico también hay oportunidades para Messi. Tal es el caso del Inter Miami FC, el club que juega en la MLS de Estados Unidos y que tiene al inglés David Beckham a la cabeza del proyecto. Pero la alternativa más ligada a lo sentimental siempre será Newell’s y en la entidad rosarina no pierden las esperanzas de que, a los 33 años, la Pulga decida terminar su carrera con la camiseta del equipo de sus amores.
