Los próceres volverán a los billetes
El presidente Alberto Fernández ratificó este jueves que las imágenes de los próceres argentinos volverán a estar impresas en los billetes, incluida la del general Martín Miguel de Güemes, a quien el mandatario homenajeó en Salta.
Tras participar de los actos centrales realizados por el bicentenario del fallecimiento de Güemes, Fernández confirmó que en la nueva tanda de billetes que se emitirá se incluirá la imagen del militar. Güemes gobernó Salta durante seis años y tuvo un rol destacado en la Guerra de Independencia.
Además, el mandatario adelantó que ya fue dada la orden al presidente del Banco Central, Miguel Pesce, para imprimir el papel moneda en homenaje al «héroe gaucho».
En esa línea, reveló que regresarán las figuras de otras destacadas figuras de la historia argentina, como José de San Martín y Manuel Belgrano, que habían sido reemplazados por animales autóctonos durante el gobierno de Mauricio Macri.
Alberto Fernández ya había avisado que revertiría esa decisión adoptada por el gobierno anterior.
