Lo curioso es que Ishii fue el único intendente del país que durante el pasado mes de febrero acompañó al presidente Alberto Fernández en su gira por Rusia, por lo cual debería estar al tanto del conflicto con Ucrania.
No es la primera vez que el mandatario es parte de una polémica en video: en junio de 2020 fue filmado mientras mantenía un fuerte cruce en la calle con un grupo de empleados públicos que trabajan en el sector de la salud y que reclamaban mejores condiciones laborales.
En ese contexto, Ishii sostuvo sin vueltas para dar por cerrada la discusión: «Yo los tengo que cubrir cuando están vendiendo falopa con las ambulancias«. A pesar de la elocuencia de las imágenes, el Concejo Deliberante de José C. Paz decidió no investigar al intendente.
