Diecisiete minutos y veintiocho segundos. Eso fue lo que demandó vender las 50 unidades del Citroën My Ami Buggy que se pusieron a la venta el martes último en Francia. Un verdadero récord y que muestra a las claras que la movilidad urbana y sustentable va ganando terreno a pasos agigantados.
Este My Ami Buggy es la versión aventurera del biplaza urbano lanzado mundialmente en marzo de 2020, y del cual ya se han vendido más de 21.000 unidades en los nueve países en los que se ofrece. Las particularidades de este vehículo son varias. Por un lado, sus dimensiones: tiene 2,4 m de largo, 1,39 m de ancho y 1,52 m de alto y un radio de giro de 7,2 m, lo cual simplifica el andar en la ciudad y permite estacionar casi en cualquier lugar.
Por otro, es 100% eléctrico. Cuenta con un impulsor que permite circular hasta a 45 km/h con una autonomía de 70 km, y la batería de iones de litio de 5,5 kWh que lo alimenta se puede recargar al 100% en apenas tres horas conectada a la red domiciliaria común (como un smartphone). Y otra más, y quizás la más importante: para conducirlo no se necesita licencia y pueden hacerlo adolescentes desde los 14 años (en otros países, a partir de los 16), ya que no es otra cosa que un cuatriciclo con carrocería liviana.

En el caso del My Ami Buggy está diseñado para la aventura y encarna “la libertad de movimiento y un ambiente de vacaciones con su compartimiento de pasajeros abierto al exterior”. En lugar de puertas presenta puertas de tubo de metal; asimismo, no tiene techo y en su lugar hay una lona que se puede enrollar para que pueda disfrutar del aire libre (igual que el viejo Ami que se vendió en la Argentina décadas atrás). La carrocería ha sido rediseñada para darle mayor volumen, y muestra pasos de rueda y paragolpes en negro y llantas doradas; además, los apliques son en amarillo para que resulte más llamativo.
Como detalle, las 50 unidades de esta serie limitada estarán numeradas y cada una tendrá grabada el nombre del comprador; además, le serán entregadas donde él quiera durante la segunda quincena de agosto.
