Luego del duro comunicado de Wanchope Abila, horas después de las también polémicas declaraciones de Sebastián Villa, el vice del Xeneize e integrante del Consejo de Fútbol emitió su opinión en medio del mercado de pases y a la espera de la actividad oficial.
«A mí me cuentan todo, yo no tengo redes sociales. Prefiero opinar de las cosas que hago personalmente. El tema de Ramón… El año pasado tenía la posibilidad de ir a Uruguay, (Miguel Ángel) Russo estaba de acuerdo. Él dijo que tenía la posibilidad de ir a Minnesota, nosotros le dijimos que lo aceptábamos. A los cuatro meses, Minnesota no lo quiso. Estuvo todo un día llamándome para pedirme ayuda, que envíe una carta para pasar a otro club. Yo estuve todo el día trabajando, le mandamos la carta a Estados Unidos, él pudo pasar a otro equipo y no le salieron las cosas bien, tampoco», declaró Riquelme en diálogo con ESPN
Y agregó: «Se está entrenando con el plantel. Tiene contrato hasta el 31 de diciembre, ahora tuvo una lesión, deberá ponerse a disposición de un kinesiólogo.
