Se cumple 10 años de la Ley identidad de genero en Argentina
El 9 de mayo de 2012 el Congreso sancionaba la ley de Identidad de Género Nº 26.743, la primera a nivel mundial que no patologiza las identidades trans y permite acceder al cambio registral a través de un simple trámite administrativo, sin necesidad de acreditar pericias médicas, intervenciones quirúrgicas o tratamientos hormonales. Además, reconoce el derecho a la salud integral.

La asociación civil Mocha Celis, a través de su programa #EmpleoTrans, realiza un curso de formación en cuidados específicos y acompañamiento de adultas y adultos mayores orientado a las personas travestis, trans y no binarias.
Argentina fue pìonera en esta legislación que impactó en los reclamos para acceder al derecho a la identidad de género en otros países.
Hay un mapa completo que elaboró Florencia Fazio donde cuenta que en América Latina los primeros en sancionar una ley de identidad de género fueron Panamá, en 2006; Uruguay, en 2009; y Brasil, en 2010; pero la de Argentina, dos años más tarde, marcó un punto de inflexión por plantearse desde una perspectiva despatologizadora y sin exigir requisitos médicos.
Se trata de un informe muy completo que recorre la realidad de cada continente en relación a normas y derechos.
Los cambios igualitarios llegaron también al fútbol. Marina Butron hace un recorrido por las historias de las jugadoras trans Mara Gómez, Tiziana Lezcano y Jezabel Carranza que pueden jugar hoy el Campeonato –semiprofesional- Femenino de la Primera División de la AFA.

Lo mismo ocurre cuando se transitan los pasillos de la Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires. Milena Heinrich encontró biografías de personas que transicionaron de un género a otro, manifiestos políticos que se resisten contra el binarismo de las categorías, relatos de infancias y adolescentes trans y travestis, libros de Educación Sexual Integral, mangas reversionados con perspectivas inclusivas, lecturas decoloniales que cruzan género, clase y etnia, o ficciones escritas por cuerpos e identidades no hegemónicas.
Sobre el fin de semana llegó el informe oficial del Renaper que brinda datos cuantitativos y permite analizar, gracias los números, 10 años de una legislación. Puede leerse en En una década, 12.655 personas modificaron su DNI por la ley de Identidad de Género.
El archivo fotográfico de Télam suma acá momentos históricos de luchas y conquistas hasta llegar a una ley que abrió puertas a otros derechos, como el cupo laboral travesti trans, el DNI no binario y el CUIL/CUIT sin género.
Hay banderazo para festejar la ley, para pedir reclaman una reparación histórica para las sobrevivientes de la represión institucional por motivos de identidad de género y la inclusión en la seguridad social de las personas mayores travestis y trans.
