La amenaza de una segunda ola mantiene inquieto al gobierno nacional. La cartera de Salud advirtió que lo que acontece en el mundo repercutirá en Argentina. Muchos gobernadores están intranquilos y ni quieren pensar con la medida de volver a encerrarse. En Jujuy, Gerardo Morales abrió el paraguas y dijo que no va a «tomar medidas restrictivas» aunque estén «en pico» de casos de COVID.
«Nosotros, aunque estemos en pico, no vamos a tomar medidas restrictivas en cuanto a cierres. La consigna es cuidar la salud y la economía», sostuvo el mandatario provincial.
Según el gobernador de la vecina provincia, Jujuy está «con una situación bastante ordenada» respecto de casos de Covid-19, aunque afirmó que esperan que, ante una segunda ola de contagios, aumenten los positivos en ese distrito.
«Hubo un pico después de carnaval, que llegó a 108 casos, y después hemos bajado a un promedio de 50 casos diarios. Estimamos que vamos a bajar un poco más, pero el pico va a llegar al país y nos va a llegar a nosotros», amplió en diálogo con el programa «Lado P», que conducen Eduardo Paladini y Elizabeth Peger por Radio Rivadavia.
En esa línea, el dirigente radical dijo compartir «la preocupación del presidente», Alberto Fernández, respecto del incremento de casos de coronavirus. Además, valoró la gestión del Ejecutivo nacional ante la pandemia: «No me puedo quejar en cuanto a todo el tema del manejo de la pandemia en la gestión (del ex ministro de Salud de la Nación) Ginés (González García) y ahora en la gestión de la nueva ministra (Carla Vizzotti)».
En relación a las clases presenciales, el gobernador aclaró que van a «mantener las escuelas abiertas». «Hemos empezado las clases el 17 de febrero en la primaria, y el 22 de febrero en la secundaria. La presencialidad y la salud mental de los niños nos parece una meta importante a seguir», afirmó.
