De la mano de su propio hijo Sergio, ya es cinturón blanco y va por más,
Don Francisco Salís (95) empezó a pelearle a la vida desde niño, cuando perdió a su papá, debió dejar la escuela y se puso a trabajar en las vías del ferrocarril. La historia de Don Francisco Salís es la de un hombre que, cuando se jubiló, puso una aclamada florería en las peatonales tucumanas, tuvo la suerte de ser ganador de los Números de Oro de La Gaceta, y desde siempre acompañó a su hijo Sergio, el taekwondista original de la familia, y quien le propuso: “Papá, ¿te animás?”.
Cuenta Sergio Salís: “Por la pandemia, no podía enseñar en un lugar cerrado y empecé a enseñar cerca de mi casa en un lugar abierto. Mi papá me acompañaba a todos lados, desde el 85, en el complejo Muñoz de Villa 9 de Julio, y luego en barrio Los Pinos frente a la Iglesia de Fátima”.
“Un día vino a verme, tenía la ropa y le dije: ‘¿Si te la ponés?’ Y lo hizo. Especialmente para jugar con sus tres nietos. Obviamente que a sus 95 años, pero es increíble lo que hace: aprende las técnicas básicas de piernas, golpe de puño, la respiración. Es muy sano. Nunca en su vida tomó una aspirineta y ahora estamos esperando poderlo anotar para la vacuna”.
“Nunca es tarde”, repite una y otra vez Don Francisco. E insiste su hijo Sergio: “Remarqué la frase porque hay gente que te dice que están grandes a los 40. Me gustaría que se conociera el espíritu de vida de mi papá y que la gente se acercara al taekwondo».
«Estoy con chicos muy pobres y es muy lindo lo que estamos haciendo”. Y aclara: “¿Qué se viene ahora? Ya le pregunté si quiere aprender el diagrama de tul (en total son 24 formas que encierran 970 movimientos) para rendir. Y me dijo: ¡Claro, hijo! ¡Para adelante! ¡Siempre para adelante!’”
