Wado de Pedro irá el miércoles al Congreso
Para delinear el futuro de las PASO
En Casa Rosada explicaron que la decisión de De Pedro se fundamentó en que la concreción de cualquier modificación a la ley electoral vigente debe emanar del Congreso Nacional.
«Sugerí acercarme al Congreso para escuchar la posición de todos los bloques respecto a las PASO, ya que es el ámbito natural para discutirlo», dijo de Pedro tras el encuentro que mantuvo el martes último en Casa Rosada con dirigentes del oficialismo y la oposición para poner en marcha el Programa de Emergencia de Infraestructura Municipal (Preimba).
El titular de la cartera de Interior explicó que «acordamos seguir dialogando. Reafirmamos nuestra predisposición para el diálogo y construir acuerdos».
A esa reunión asistieron, además, el gobernador bonaerense, Axel Kicillof; el presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Sergio Massa; el titular del bloque de legisladores del Frente de Todos en ese cuerpo, Máximo Kirchner; el diputado nacional por el PRO y titular de ese bloque en la cámara baja, Cristian Ritondo, y el intendente de Vicente López, Jorge Macri, entre otros.
«Como en toda reunión política, conversamos. Sobre la pandemia, sobre su impacto en la economía, en el calendario electoral, y sobre muchos temas más», explicó de Pedro.
En ese sentido, se preguntó: «¿Está mal que el Gobierno y la oposición dialoguemos sobre un tema tan importante como una elección en el marco de una pandemia?».
De esa manera, de Pedro respondió algunas críticas opositoras, como las del presidente de la Unión Cívica Radical, Alfredo Cornejo, y las del titular de la Coalición Cívica ARI, Maximiliano Ferraro, quienes desmintieron un acuerdo con el oficialismo sobre la postergación de las elecciones, algo que no ocurrió en la reunión del martes.
No obstante, el propio presidente Alberto Fernández no descartó la posibilidad de suspender directamente las PASO.«Todo indica que estamos rodeados de la segunda ola y si esto es así tenemos que ver la manera de minimizar los daños. Si queremos lograr eso, que vayamos a votar dos veces es exponer a la gente innecesariamente», había dicho Fernández días atrás al canal C5N.
El Presidente aclaró que esa decisión «la tienen que resolver los diputados y los senadores», aunque subrayó: «Solo pido que tengamos en cuenta la evolución de la pandemia, no sabemos muy bien cómo vamos a estar. Vamos a esperar cuando llegue agosto, más o menos, como estamos y ahí creo que podremos tomar una decisión con más certeza».
Ante una consulta de Télam, Ritondo había señalado, tras el encuentro de aquel día en Casa Rosada: «No creo que se suspendan las PASO, podemos hablar de más tiempo o menos tiempo».
El legislador admitió que «hay un montón de charlas informales, viendo como se sucede esta pandemia», antes de la del martes pasado, y alertó que «las PASO, como las (elecciones) generales (previstas para el 24 de octubre próximo), son las reglas de la democracia, que no pueden ser alteradas, mucho menos en un año electoral».
La suspensión de las PASO había sido planteada por la mayoría de los gobernadores a fines del año pasado. Por su parte, el Gobierno y legisladores oficialistas empezaron a analizar desde febrero último la posibilidad de una postergación o eliminarlas «por única vez».
El calendario electoral prevé para el 10 de mayo la fecha límite para efectuar la convocatoria a las PASO, según lo dispuesto por la Cámara Nacional Electoral (CNE).
