La diputada Ávila manifestó su apoyo a la concejal Mazzuco

En su paso por la ciudad de Concepción, la diputada Nacional, Beatriz Ávila, mostró un enérgico repudio a la situación de discriminación y hostigamiento que enfrenta la Concejal Katherina Mazzuco por parte su par, Luis Zelarayan.
La funcionaria manifestó que este tipo de situaciones degradan a las instituciones y que el Partido por la Justicia Social no permitirá que la concejal continúe siendo víctima de violencia y/o se obstaculice su labor.
“Su condición de mujer, de joven y militante de un partido político no puede ser motivo de atropello ni destrato, sino todo lo contrario, debemos estimular y proteger la participación de las jóvenes en la vida política”, dijo la diputada Beatríz Ávila.
En este sentido reflexionó que le cuesta entender cómo es posible que desde que asumió Mazzuco, “deba soportar la falta de respeto y agresión de un colega sin que los demás Concejales ni el Presidente del cuerpo intervengan.
Culminó sosteniendo que toda conducta, práctica o criterio discriminatorio contra las mujeres en los ámbitos públicos, por sus agentes, es considerada violencia política o institucional y “así lo reconocimos el pasado año en nuestro país por una Ley Nacional.
Las mujeres tenemos derecho a una vida política libre de violencia en cualquier espacio de la vida pública, como instituciones estatales y recintos de votación”.
Cabe señalar que la diputada  Ávila fue invitada por el Legislador Raúl Albarracín para entregar cunas para bebés recién nacidos, en el marco del programa Acunando Esperanzas.
Con el objetivo de ayudar a mujeres embarazadas y a sus hijos este programa acompaña a 48 familias buscando disminuir las desigualdades sociales, y cuidando a niños y niñas desde sus primeros días de vida. Además se acercaron a la Fundación Concepción Infancia y Nutrición  (FUCIN) e hicieron entrega de alimentos y brindaron su apoyo  para que puedan continuar  con la tarea.
