Ana Paula Quiles: «Quiero ser esa puerta para esas mujeres que no se les ha permitido estar en esas mesas chicas de toma de decisiones»
La concejal radical y candidata a intendente por Bella Vista, Ana Paula Quiles, en diálogo con Café Prensa analizó el rol de la mujer en la política en general.
Quiles expresó que aun hay deudas pendientes de la sociedad para las mujeres ya que “estamos en 2023 y la mujer tiene que todavía manifestarse si es que quiere cobrar el mismo sueldo que cobra un hombre en una empresa privada (…) todavía hay conquistas que se tienen que llevar a cabo”. “Hoy tenemos muchos derechos, pero hay que consolidarlos y hay que hacer que se respeten en la realidad, no. Como siempre, la mujer ha estado desvalorizada y siempre hay un hombre que la punta en el ámbito público también. Yo no estaría sentada acá si no fuese la esposa de Sebastián (Salazar), por más militancia y por más trabajo que vengo haciendo”, continuó.
En este sentido se sinceró expresando que en la política hay muchas mujeres “que trabajan, que militan, que vienen desde hace mucho tiempo en la política, que están muy preparadas para para asumir cargos de poder, pero no tienen el empuje de un varón, entonces creo que eso tiene que cambiar”. Luego expresó su intención es “ser esa puerta para muchas mujeres que vienen y que tienen las capacidades y que no se les ha permitido estar en esas mesas chicas de toma de decisiones”.
Finalmente, Quiles afirmó que “la vara en la política sube cuando una mujer está ahí porque el varón se esfuerza por llegar a tener esos conocimientos de esas capacidades, porque creo que lo mejoramos, no para ser mejores ni para estar por encima, sino para buscar esa igualdad”. En este sentido, recalcó que la idea es deconstruir conceptos en diferentes ámbitos de la vida como en la crianza de los hijos o las tareas del hogar. “Tenemos que empezar a tomar conciencia de cómo nos expresamos y qué es lo que decimos. No sé si ustedes tendrán hijas mujeres, yo tengo tres y creo que quiero dejarles un mundo mejor para ellas”, cerró.
