Argentina, 1985, la película dirigida por Santiago Mitre y protagonizada por Ricardo Darín y Pedro Lanzani que aborda el recorrido los fiscales Julio Strassera y Luis Moreno Ocampo en el marco del juicio a las Juntas Militares, fue nominada a los Premios Oscar.
El anuncio tuvo lugar en el Teatro Samuel Goldwyn en Los Ángeles a media mañana de nuestro país, y convierte al ya vastamente reconocido film en uno de los cinco que competirán en la categoría Mejor película internacional de los premios más importantes de Hollywood.
Se trata de la octava nominación para una película argentina en la historia de los Oscar. Las anteriores fueron La tregua (1974), Camila (1984), La historia oficial (1985), Tango, no me dejes nunca (1998), El hijo de la novia (2001), El secreto de sus ojos (2009) y Relatos Salvajes (2014).
La 95º edición de los premios se llevará a cabo el próximo 12 de marzo en Los Ángeles, donde la industria cinematográfica de nuestro país podría podría recibir la tercera estatuilla de la Academia de Hollywood para el país. De hacerlo, compartirá el histótico logro con «La historia oficial» (1985) y «El secreto de sus ojos» (2009).
