Autoridades de Salud afirmaron que se redujeron de manera significativa los embarazos no planificados en los últimos años.
Los índices de embarazo adolescente se redujeron durante los últimos años en Jujuy.
Hace un lustro representaban entre el 19 y 20% del total y actualmente se ubican alrededor del 15%, informó la directora de Maternidad, Infancia y Adolescencia, Claudia Castro.
«Hay indicadores muy buenos. Estos indicadores se analizan en muchos años, de 5 años a la fecha los números son muy favorables», afirmó la funcionaria en diálogo con AM630.
La profesional destacó en especial a una estrategia de anticoncepción como la clave para la mejora de los números. «Uno de los métodos que mejor ha funcionado es el implante subdérmico, da seguridad anticonceptiva y aparte de ser seguro e inocuo cubre 4 años», ponderó.
Castro resaltó que «hubo más acceso al ser gratuito» y que brinda cobertura a amplios sectores de la sociedad porque es propuesto como una opción en los hospitales y Centros de Atención Primaria de la Salud (Caps) barriales.
La especialista también resaltó el trabajo en conjunto que se realiza con Nación a través del Programa de Embarazo No Intencional en la Adolescencia (Enia) «con una estrategia que brinda asesoría dentro de las escuelas».
En ese sentido es destacable que durante los meses de pandemia en los cuales los menores no asistieron a la escuela de manera presencial las consejerías se brindaron de forma virtual. «Que los adolescentes accedan a la información es clave», afirmó Castro.
AUMENTO DE LAS VASECTOMÍAS
Por otra parte, la directora de Maternidad, Infancia y Adolescencia hizo referencia a la cantidad de vasectomías realizadas en el sistema público de salud en los últimos años.
En el 2018 hubo 4 intervenciones, fueron 22 en el 2019 y durante el 2020 no se efectuó la práctica debido a la situación de pandemia. El último año la cifra se disparó y fueron 120 los hombres que accedieron a la vasectomía.
