“Se acordó un 40% de aumento en los peajes»
La defensora ciudadana platense cuestionó e interpeló a través de una carta a AUBASA por resolver el incremento sin convocar a los organismos de La Plata y el conurbano.
La Defensora Ciudadana de La Plata, Marcela Farroni, presentó una nota a las autoridades de Autopistas de Buenos Aires (AUBASA), luego de que se realizaran las audiencias públicas para adecuar las tarifas de peajes en la región sin invitar a representantes de la ciudadanía.
Se trató de la actualización del costo de la autopista La Plata-Buenos Aires y las autopistas de la Costa y la Ruta 2.
“Sin la participación de las defensorías ciudadanas de La Plata, Quilmes y Avellaneda, se acordó un aumento de alrededor del 40% para los peajes de la autopista La Plata-Buenos Aires” protestó la defensora platense.
En la misma nota dirigida a AUBASA, Farroni planteó el desacuerdo con el aumento y pidió ser incluida dentro de los participantes de las próximas audiencias. Además solicitó una reunión para proponer algún descuento o rebaja para los platenses que utilizan a diario la autopista para llegar a sus trabajos y que se agrupan y viajan en un solo auto para ahorrar.
Esta propuesta de la defensoría tiene que ver con generar conciencia en la ciudadanía de un uso responsable de los automóviles, compartir viajes y gastos para ahorrar no sólo dinero sino también generar menos emanación de gases de efecto invernadero reduciendo el uso de autos y que esa acción sea premiada con algún beneficio o descuento en el peaje.
“De esta manera, si los usuarios se agrupan y comparten viajes, están favoreciendo al cuidado del medio ambiente y deberían tener una compensación por parte de AUBASA” comentó la defensora.
“La agenda ambiental tiene que estar presente en las acciones cotidianas de la población y deben ser fomentadas por los gobiernos y las autoridades”, continuó Farroni y concluyó: “No es momento de generar más presión al bolsillo de los platenses, por eso no estamos de acuerdo con el aumento del peaje y pedimos una reunión para plantear las inquietudes de los vecinos”.
